Senior care homes or retirement communities are becoming a very popular choice among elder adults today. The demand for this type of facility has shown significant growth over the past decade because seniors still want the independence and comfort of doing daily activities by their own. Before choosing a senior living community for yourself or your loved ones, you need to identify which activities of daily living (ADL) your aging parent can perform independently and which daily activities (eating, bathing, toileting) they need assistance. Equally, it is very important to involve your aging parent or dear ones in the decision making to move to an assited living facility or senior care home. Sometimes it is disruptive and emotional for them. Sort out your loved one's preferences (gardening, painting, cooking etc) and make ensure they can achieve that  from the living community. Creating a familiar atmosphere as that of home is good option to sweep away the differences of tastes. Finally, make them realize that this for them to lead a better quality life independently.

People who are considering moving in or transferring their loved one/s in a senior community must determine the perfect community.the community should addressed the needs and the care
Prevent the risks by preparing ahead on long term care

hi

Each seniors we will require varying levels of care. Many seniors will live independent active lifestyles and if they choose to relocate to a retirement community, an independent living community will suit their needs.

Retirement homes or residential accommodations vary widely in terms of services provided (such as onsite beauty salons, gardens, meeting rooms, etc.) and the prices for these services. The size and type of rooms available also varies greatly. Everything from shared rooms up to two-bedroom apartments may be available. Visiting several possible locations to compare is highly recommended.

yes, you are right that you have to include your loved one involved in the decision making. Make sure the activities or services are in line with the patient's needs particularly  long term care . Also, make sure the facility has no history of abuse and neglect, better ask for feedbacks from previous clients
